Plate Magnets
MSI offers three different standard types of plate magnets in order to optimize removal of tramp metal from product (Flush pole, Pampeel pole, Raised pole). The plate magnets utilize ceramic or rare earth magnet depending on the strength required.

Flush-Pole Plate Magnet

Flush-Pole Plate Magnet

Flush-Pole Plate Magnets are designed to separate ferrous tramp metal from above the product flow. Mounted to the topside of a chute, it lifts tramp metal from above the product as it passes underneath. Overhead mounting of the flush-pole plate magnets also make them ideal for use with product being carried on slow-moving conveyor belts.

MSI standard flush pole magnets are available in square or rectangular shapes. Custom shapes available.

The magnet section can be customized to any size necessary to fit the application. Dims "B" and "D" should be in 2" increments to minimize magnet material. Standard flanges are 1" up 4 1/8" thick, 1.5" for thicker.

Ramped-Pole Plate Magnet

Ramped poles are preferred when the material flow may wash tramp metal from the face of the magnet. MSI offers ramped pole only plate magnets in order to optimize removal of tramp metal from product. The plate magnets utilize ceramic or rare earth magnet depending on the strength required.
