Magnetic grates offer exceptional tramp capture and value as these are generally much less expensive than other magnetic systems. These grates are most often used in bins, chutes, and hoppers across a number of industries with free-flowing dry burden. These grates are especially a staple of the food industry where maximum ferrous protection is required for compliance with state and federal laws. Our standard grates are constructed using 1" diameter tubes on 2" centers in a heavy-duty stainless steel frame and utilize either ceramic or rare earth magnets, depending on the application. Other options include:
Custom sizes to fit in rectangular, square, and round locations
Custom tube spacing to accommodate materials that do ...
MSI’s drawer-in-housing is designed for tramp metal separation in various dry processing applications. It utilizes the strong tube magnet design, placed in a drawer with either a single row or more commonly multiple offset rows for a more effective separation and placed in a housing designed to make it easy to clean.
The product flows in the top and over the offset magnetic tubes to redirect product as it flows through the housing, causing it to slow down as it winds through the magnetic grates. This increases the amount of tramp metal exposed to the tube magnets, and its separation from the product flow is maximized.
